Bars and Stripes is an easy to use, low–priced barcode generating program that supports eleven barcode fonts including a variety of EANs and UPCs. This bar code software can generate check digits and can adjust barcode density, width and orientation.

We found this program fairly easy to use and quite simplistic; it is mostly for generating bar codes as opposed to creating labels. When we tested this program we generated barcodes and copied them into Word for printing to Avery labels.

Bars and Stripes provides little customer support beyond an email address but it is reasonably priced and does work. So if you are a small company that needs just a few bar codes to be imported into other programs or simply printed, Bars and Stripes is an economical choice if they support the barcode fonts you need.
