Bar Codes:  

This barcode software comes with several versions of Code 39s, UPCs, MSI, Code 128s (including UCC/EAN 128) and EAN. It also includes Codabar, Code 93, Postnet, I 2 of 5, pdf 471 and RSS. If these barcode fonts satisfy your vendor needs, $199 is a good price for this quantity of useful fonts.

Compatibility:  

This program has a label designer so it is not set up to export to other programs but barcodes can be saved as images to be used in other applications. Nevertheless, it would be nice if you could copy and paste barcodes directly into other programs.

Otherwise, this program is compatible with a variety of applications and file formats. It can import pcx, bmp, jpeg and tif image file types for labels and can print from Excel. This barcode software can also import ASCII and DBF data files.

Label Design Tools:  

This barcode program has a label designer that can work with images, shapes, colors and text. It can also be used to change the orientation of the barcodes but does not support non–black barcodes and you cannot change the background color of a barcode.

Ease of Use:  

LabelRIGHT is easy to use and install. You can also easily set it up to print to specific size labels and it has a print preview so you can easily see how your labels and barcodes are arranged before printing. In addition, you can save your label designs as a template for future barcode projects. The only confusing aspect is that you lose your usual right–click tools since they are replaced with LabelRIGHT tools. So, for example to alter a created barcode you right–click on the barcode to access the tools needed to do that.

Worth Data offers support by telephone and email. They also include help within the program and help information on their website. This company provides international support and posts webpages for the US, France, the UK and Germany.

LabelRIGHT includes a practical set of barcodes, is reasonable priced and is easy to use – all–in–all a good choice for small companies.

Please Note: This program is not yet Vista compatible, but if you’re running XP, you shouldn’t have problems.
