Create eye–catching, easy to read labels with UPC or EAN barcodes with our “TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award” winner, My Tattoo ID. This barcode program has the best label designer we have seen and is perfect for small businesses who do not want to fuss with having to use a separate program to create labels.
My Tattoo does not include as many barcode fonts as some of the other programs, but most small retailers do not need a large volume of barcodes. This is an excellent choice for satisfying the in–house barcode needs of a small company that needs custom labels with barcodes.
My Tattoo includes a few EAN, Code 39 and UPC barcode varieties including Standard 39, ASCII Code 39, HIBC, EAN 8 & 13, Bookland EAN, UPC A & E and Postnet. This is enough barcode fonts for small retailers but others might need more options like some Code 128s. If you are interested in Tattoo ID but need additional fonts, they do offer a business version for just under $400 that includes over 20 font choices and over 1000 label templates.
Since this program includes a comprehensive label designer it does not offer the same copy and paste options as other programs that require a separate label designer. However, this program can easily import information from csv and txt files and can import numerous image types including jpeg, tiff, psd, mac, eps, wmf and many more. My Tattoo does not support the ability to export barcodes or labels into other programs but some of their other versions do.
All Tattoo barcode products are Vista compatible.
As mentioned above, My Tattoo ID has a great label designer. It works with numerous text, image and barcode display options. You can even crop and resize images within the program. With this barcode software you really do not need a separate program for creating labels; My Tattoo ID has everything from snap to grid options to the ability to work with nearly any label type. It has alignment tools, shapes and objects, text options, orientation choices, hidden fields, clip art, anchor control and much more. Measurement options include metric, US, points, twips and picas.
We found My Tattoo ID easy to use, right away; we had our first barcode generated in less than a minute after installation.
ISD Technology Group’s technical support can be contacted by telephone or email, but most service options are offered in a service package. You can access their IMPACT support website free but their IMPACT Ultimate support is about $300 per year. However, for this version advanced support is not necessary but if you purchase their enterprise edition extra support could be helpful.
If you have a small retail whose barcode needs are modest, this all–inclusive label creation/ barcode generation program is an excellent and capable software choice.
